DAY 1: IXB/NJP/SILIGURI TO DARJEELING

Distance: Njp- Darjeeling (70 Km/ 2hour & 40 Min)

Distance: Siliguri – Darjeeling (63 Km/ 2 Hour & 30 Min)

After being received at IXB/NJP/ Siliguri, proceed to Darjeeling (6730 ft) which is 70 km away and takes approximately 3 hours. After reaching Darjeeling, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 Darjeeling: Lying amidst the slopes of the Lesser Himalayas and blanketed by emerald green plantations of tea, Darjeeling is a picturesque town in the Indian state of West Bengal. The majestic Kanchenjunga (also known as Kanchenjunga) towers over this beautiful town, which is the third highest mountain in the world. DAY 2: DARJEELING CITY TOUR

Major Attractions: Tiger Hill, Ghoom Monastery, the Batasia Loop, covering The Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre,Tea Gardens.

Starting time: Early morning (if you are to see the sunrise)
Destination: Tiger Hills, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and others.
Description of the tour: Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 meters at around 4 AM) to see the sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop.
After breakfast go for a half-day sight seeing of Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person and is closed on 19th of every month) Tenzing &Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & panoramic view of Tea Estate. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

DAY 03: DARJEELING – MIRIK (40 KM / 1 HOUR & 45 MIN)

Day Services: Breakfast, Stay, Cab & Dinner Only

Major Attractions:Mirik/ Sumendu Lake, tea gardens and orange orchards.

Starting time: Shortly after the morning breakfast.
Destination: Mirik Lake, Pasupati market and others.
Description of the tour: Morning excursion to Mirik Lake which is an excellent scenic spot, nestled in forested hills at an altitude of 5800 ft, 43 km. Cardamom plantations and Tea Estates enhance the Surroundings here.
A visit to Pasupati Market (located at Indo – Nepal Border).Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

DAY 04: DARJEELING – NJP RLY STATION / IXB AIRPORT

Today after breakfast, Check-out from the hotel and proceed from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/NJP (Railway Station)/Siliguri (for onward journey.

After a delicious breakfast, embark on a journey to explore the famous attractions of Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. First, visit the Bakthang Waterfalls which is quite wide and a great spot to take photographs. Next, you head to Tashi viewpoint for capturing far-reaching views of Mt.Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountains in the world.
This point is also known for great sunrise views. Then head for Ganesh Tok, the Charming Hindu temple with mesmerizing hilltop views. After this, visit the Enchey Monastery which is believed to be the home of the protecting deities, Khangchendzonga and Yabdean. Enjoy a cable car ride on the Ropeway and catch the bird’s eye view of the surroundings.
Other Gangtok attractions to be covered are Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom, Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Institute of Tibetology, Flower Show, and Banjhakri Falls. After sightseeing, drive back to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Wake up early in the morning (3:30am) to witness the sunrise from Tiger Hill (2,590 meters/13 KM/45 min). On the way back, visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop.  Proceed for half day city tour around Darjeeling covering The Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday close), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Thursday close), Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), outer view of Tea Garden (Chitrey) and Tenzing Rock.
